Proactive Management of your Visitor and Member Information
Fellowship One offers some unique tools to proactively manage your people data. A few of the many advanced tools we offer are Group Email, Query Builder and Duplicate Finder.
Email a Group or the Entire Church Congregation
Whenever you are working with a list of people in Fellowship One then the Group Email feature is just one click away. Writing, testing, and sending your email is as easy as sending a personal email in Outlook or Google. Click here to see an example. You can send an email to a small group of individuals or even your ENTIRE church congregation. Some of the many features of this simple yet robust tool are:
- Email content can be simple text or rich HTML formatted emails with high quality images
- Send to one recipient or tens of thousands using a single email
- Auto-saves a draft copy of the email at regular intervals
- Supports a document attachment
- Insert mail merge fields to customize the message to the individual
- Send a test copy of the email to a customized address
- Supports delegates, allowing an assistant to send an email on behalf of someone else

Build Custom Search Criteria
You can create custom searches for the church's visitors, attendees, and members using a tool called Query Builder. Query Builder is just what the name says, a tool to construct "queries" that you can then execute to retrieve a list of individuals. An example query might be "Find all individuals with a Status equal to 'Member' and who have attended the Class equal to 'Newcomer 101' or 'Newcomer 201'". You can add as many AND / OR conditions as you desire against more than 70 different criteria.

You can then take the results of the query, a list of individuals, and perform a number of different actions such as email the list, export it, mail merge, create a people list, etc. Having a quick and easy to use tool such as Query Builder allows your staff members to be self sufficient rather than waiting on a key person or volunteer to assist them with gathering the required data.
Merge Duplicate Member Records
Every church over a certain size deals with issues related to having one or more duplicate records for individuals in their church management software. Frequently someone new to the church makes contact through a variety of methods such as a new visitor card, bible study, concert, online donation, etc. These individuals are inadvertently entered into the church management software anew each time resulting in duplicate records.
Fellowship One offers a unique tool called Duplicate Finder that allows you to search through the church database in different ways to find possible duplicates. Sophisticated ranking technology indicates the likelihood of duplication for similar records based on partial name, address, and other criteria. You can even merge up to five duplicate records in a single operation with the control to manually select which data elements to keep from each of the duplicates.
