Empowering Lay Leaders of Small Group Ministry

With Fellowship One and WebLink church management software, managing activities like small groups has never been easier. You can enable your lay leaders to manage and report on the activities of their small group through your church website, without burdening the church staff. The church staff can easily monitor the health of the small groups from within Fellowship One.
In Fellowship One, small groups are configured in the same manner as any regular activity. Fellowship One is flexible enough to configure small groups in many ways. For example, you can configure small groups or any group activity by one or more combinations of the following filter attributes (and any other ways needed):
- Area of interest/hobby
- Physical/city location
- Group leader
- Topic of discussion
- Marital status
Once the activity has been created, it is a simple matter to display it on the church's website.
Finding an activity / small group
After an activity or small group has been activated on the church's website, visitors or members can simply visit your church website and easily search for and find an activity using the filters the church has made available (location, hobby, topic, and so on). When a person has found and selected an activity or group of interest, a contact task is sent to the selected group leader.Group leaders respond to people interested in their group with all information about the small group. If the interested person attends the group, it is easy to add that person to the leader's small group.
Managing a small group
A small groups ministry and its leaders are an excellent way to keep in close contact with church members. Often, group leaders have the most current information about the attendees of that group. Instead of having that information decentralized, WebLink provides a small group management module that gives group leaders the tools needed to perform the following functions:

- Add people to a small group
- Update communication values
- Report attendance
- Record the minutes/notes for a meeting
- Send mass emails to small group members
- Receive and respond to contacts requesting information about the leader's small group
Small group reports
The church administrative staff can monitor the health of its small groups by running reports to view small group attendance and minutes/notes for a specific date. Additionally, church staff can see contacts made and responded to via the small group finder module.
